Máirtín de Cógáin is a singing, dancing, story-telling bodhrán player who is also a playwright and actor. He performs in his native Ireland and all over the U.S…. and between and beyond, too! An infectious personality, Máirtín pleasantly commands the attention of any collection of people, as large as a concert hall or as small as a porch.

We met Máirtín last year at a traditional Irish arts week in NY, and were wowed by his presentation, skill, and wit. He carries a perfect combination to make our house concert evening into a true party. Come join us. It'll be great fun.

Máirtín will be performing with Brian Miller on bouzouki, guitar, and harmonium and Nathan Gourley on fiddle.

At the home of Robin & Will's - near westside of Madison, Hilldale area.

Bring either a dessert or an evening snack. This is not a requirement. Most importantly, come, with or without. Consider warm slippers or socks. Shoes off at the door.

Please note: "Sly Dog - Madtown" is simply the name we chose to describe our private parties in our private home. These parties are NOT a business nor are they a business related activity. They are strictly a hobby for us, and are simply gatherings of our friends and guests to enjoy live acoustic music, fellowship, food (a potluck dessert buffet) and fun. Our concert parties are officially free (or else it might be considered a business,) although voluntary contributions are accepted at the party on behalf of the artists. 100% of all contributions go directly to the performers. By invitation only. We are member # 109764 of Folk Alliance International and utilize the guidelines set fourth by FAI, ASCAP, and BMI.

Our present 2012 concert lineup will include:

Máirtín de Cógáin with Brian Miller on bouzouki, guitar and harmonium and Nathan Gourley on fiddle with himself on bodhrán, singing and storytelling. Friday, February 17th, 2012

The return of Len Graham, traditional singer and storyteller with Brían Ó hAirt, voice, concertina, sean-nós dance, either Tuesday or Wednesday, May 1st or 2nd, 2012. Len offers traditional singing in English mostly from the North of Ireland with memories from a lifetime of collecting. Brian's voice stands as a testament to the power of tradition winning coveted awards in Ireland. He is also a whiz on concertina and whistle.

Paddy Keenan will be unable to join us this Spring due to schedule changes.
